Message from Nicholas Gould, ’09,

Executive Director of Institutional Advancement

Spring 2022 marks the second semester we have been back to in-person learning after a long 18 months away due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The process of getting us back to in-person instruction took a lot of collaboration and determination. Today we are a stronger, more united community.

Our common goal is to ensure that Gallaudet remains a top choice for Deaf and hard of hearing students across the United States and around the world. Thank you for your generous gift.

On October 29, 1977, Sandi and Clifton, in the small historic chapel on the grounds of Minoru Park in Richmond, British Columbia.  In 1991, they moved to Burlington, Ontario, with their only child Carley.  Sandi worked for the Halton District School Board as an educational and instructional assistant at Brant Hills Public School, Dr. Charles Best Public School, Champlain Public School, and Frontenac Public School until her retirement in January 2019.

Sandi touched many people with a unique sense of humor and witty sarcasm. She was generous to a fault and shared her joyfulness and vitality with everyone she met.

Thanks to all Professional Support Workers from Acclaim Health and Paramed who came to our house to care for Sandi until her recent admission into a nursing home in mid-March.
