In 1970 for his overall achievement, Madan received the award that Phi Kappa Zeta Sorority established a new scholarship award, the Dr. Leonard M. Elstad Award for Total Performance annually to non-Phi Kappa Zetans in the year of 1969.
In Himachai Pradesh, India, The Governor’s Award is given annually to successful Himachai Pradesh Citizens, Madan received the honor for his leadership in the year of 2001. They never selected a deaf person before or after.
